top 10 ways to help HomeNetHelp.com

You may not realize it, but HomeNetHelp is run and financed entirely by me, Chris Kaminski.  HomeNetHelp is a full time job for me. I hope will one day translate into a livable income but for now life is not easy! I invest over $300 in hosting fees every month not to mention a small advertising budget, new software to improve the site, hardware to test, trips to industry shows, membership fees and more.

The days of selling banner’s for good money are gone. It has become VERY hard to make a dollar on the internet unless you are either a scam artist or a huge retail store.

If HomeNetHelp has helped you in some way and you wish to return the favor, there are many paths open to you. Here are a few I can think of.

1) Start using http://www.homenethelp.com/buy when you need to do some shopping on the internet.  We art partnered with TigerDirect and they often offer great deals through HomeNetHelp

2) Link to HomeNetHelp.com. Believe it or not, simply linking to HomeNetHelp from your web site will help me out. Your site may not directly bring people in, but every link on the Internet is kind of like a ‘popularity vote’ to search engines like google. Your link(s) will boost HomeNetHelp's rankings!

3) If you see a banner for something that interests you at HomeNetHelp that you were going to buy anyway, click through my banner THEN purchase it. The only way advertisers will say around is if they feel the advertising is effective.

5) Call or email hardware manufacturers and tell them you enjoy HomeNetHelp and want to see their products reviewed there. Sometimes this translates into free equipment for me and every once in a while some sponsorship money.

6) Write a magazine editor, news columnist, reporter, techtv or anyone in the media and tell them about your experience with HomeNetHelp.com. This can provoke a story about HomeNetHelp.com or even about how we helped you! Media folks love this kind of stuff because it makes their jobs easier!

7) Suggest HomeNetHelp to magazines or newspaper ‘site of the day/week’ awards. Most online and print magazines these days have some kind of site awards or favorite picks. They often base these picks solely from user submitted suggestions!
