Shareware, in beta as of Dec 2000
CableTraffic is a software package that helps you monitor the quality of your internet connection. As a cable modem user, there are times times when the internet seems to be unavailable. This could be due to a number of reasons, but sometimes it is your cable modem providers fault. CableTraffic provides a log of the times your cable modem is out so that you can properly report these outages to your cable modem provider.
This software is definitely in beta and needs some tuning before it is released. With no documentation, graphs on the front screen are not informative. My test showed huge areas of 'red' but my cable modem appeared to be running just fine. I also wondered what the ip address' were that the program was pinging. The idea for the software is interesting, but so far the implementation is less than stellar.
