This is a great 'getting started' book for home networking.
The opening chapters explain various network types, like ethernet and Wireless networking
in more detail than I have seen before in a 'starter' book. Feel free to simply
skim the opening chapters as home users probably to not need this kind of detail.
If all your computers are Windows 95 or 98, this book does a good job
explaining network installation and share configuration. Windows 2000,
Linux and Macs are only lightly covered.
The network troubleshooting guide in the back seemed very helpful and had some real
great network checking tips.
