Rename your computers and put
them in the same workgroup
(click small pictures to zoom)

A 'workgroup' is simply a logical grouping of computers.  On a home network, only a single workgroup is needed.  If all of your computers are not in the same workgroup, they may not be able to see each other correctly.  Just make one up and stick to it. Keep it simple and easy to remember.
Each computer should get the SAME WORKGROUP name and a DIFFERENT computer name. Again, keep all names simple and easy to remember.
Fun Network Naming Examples
Workgroup: Atom
Computers: Neutrino, Quark, Electron, Proton, Neutron, etc...
share internet connection
Workgroup: Sol
Computers: Earth, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, etc...
share internet connection
Workgroup: Milkeyway
Computers: Sirus, Centauri, Vega, Deneb, Canopus, Proxima, Rigil, etc...

I can't believe you have us do this without informing us of this major issue! I changed domain to workgroup thinking that I would later just change it back when I get to work tomorrow....now I'm locked out of my work computer. Is there anyway to fix this...is there a default pa$$word? Anything before going to IT with this....they are going to string me up!

Did you every figure out how to get your information from the lost log in name? I am in the same boat. I am back on but I have lost all my data, especially outlook info, from my previous user name.

Network Identifier
I notice in your examples shown for Win 98 and Win XP, you type the network name as "hnh" in the Win 98 case and "HNH" for the Win XP case. Will this work? Isn't lettering case taken into account?
