As you can see from the chart
above, Ethernet is the least expensive and fastest
solution. Ethernet is also the most standardized of all network
solutions. Unlike other network solutions, NICS - network
interface cards - from different vendors always operate with each other
well.
No matter network type you
choose, they all operate the same once the network is running
and your network software drivers are loaded into your
computer. Each solution shares internet, printers, files, and plays
games just about as well as the others - barring speed differences.
If you don't mind running cable, Ethernet is always the way to go in the
home.
