Re: DSL router and AOL
Until recently AOL had to be connected to using there software which sets the modem as a loopback device on address 127.0.0.1 which is useless for networking. They have recently started allowing broadband connections without the aol software. Not tried a router yet but it should now be a lot easier.

Re: wireless usb modem setup
I saw your post for home networking regarding your USB modem. I also have a USB modem and would like to know if you managed to get a router for it.

Re: cable modem - only power light on and flashing
I heard that the power plugs can have to be fiddled with for it to work. I just got one and it works fine. e-mail me if you have any other problems at:
