One of the things I really enjoy about the HotLine server is its ability to run behind a NAT based firewall with very little configuation. Hotline can be installed on a computer behind NAT based connection sharing solutions as long as the solution supports custom PORT FORWARDING or VIRTUAL SERVERS.
Hotline operates on 4 TCP ports: 5500, 5501, 5002 and 5503 by default. All four ports need to be forwarded from your sharing device to your Hotline server. If your router supports port RANGE forwarding, specify ports 5500-5503.
If you have configured hotline on a non-standard port, add three to get your port range. Example: If you set the Hotline port to 6020, your port range would be 6020 to 6023.

WARNING: Like all file sharing communities, HotLine is filled with ‘rascals’. Be sure your anti-virus software is up to date before downloading anything from unknown Hotline web sites. If you don’t have an anti-virus program you can download one free from http://www.grisoft.com
