Problem: No Tools\Mtsutil\ICS folder on the Windows ME CD
When troubleshooting your network in Windows ME, the wizard may tell you to to turn DHCP on by going to the Tools\Mtsutil\ICS folder, but it does not exist on the CD.  See this microsoft link for details.
Problem: NetMeeting is not functioning
Netmeeting and ICS are not fully compatable with each other. You will experience problems with the white board, the file sharing, and possibly other features.  You will definitely not be able to receive calls with NetMeeting with ICS running.
Problem: “Number of Computers Connected” is incorrect
ICS displays the number of computers using the ICS service. It can take 10-15 minutes before a computer is recognized as gone. According to Microsoft, this is ‘by design’ and is normal. No fix is available, no fix will be made available.
Problem: I Re-installed of windows, now ICS will not work
Known issue, uninstall ICS and re-install it.
Problem: My DSL or Cable Modem requires me to use PPPoE and some ICS clients can not connect to some web sites
There is an MTU size issue ICS clients that are running Windows 2000 (possibly other OS' too).  The MTU size must be under 1492 to function.  See this article for details.
INFO: VPN's on an ICS Host computer (don't to it!)
If you install a VPN service on a computer running ICS, ICS will no longer route internet requests. Instead, all traffic will be directed through the VPN. (OUCH!) DO NOT INSTALL VPN on a system with ICS running.
INFO: AOL 6.0 and ICS
AOL 6.0 and ICS Host do not mix. Do not install AOL 6.0 on a computer with Hosting ICS. AOL 6.0 installs VPN adapters witch are incompatible with ICS.
Problem: ICS will not dial my DSL connection. My DSL connection uses PPPoE
1) Uninstall ICS
2) Start Internet Explorer and select <Options> from the <Tools> Menu
3) Set IE to "Always Dial My Default Connection"
3) Under Dialing Settings, select your DSL provider as your default connection.
